This year’s World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) promises to be the biggest yet, says Pokerstars, unveiling the schedule and $40 million worth of guaranteed prize money in an announcement Thursday.
The schedule lists 66 events which will take place between 8th and 29th September, with top billing going to the two-day, $5,200 buy-in Main Event on 29th and 30th September which carries a prize pool guarantee of $8 million…the winner is likely to pocket around $1.25 million on those numbers.
Included in the event attractions are Champion’s Trophy, 2014 PCA package, and 2014 Turbo Championship of Online Poker, Spring Championship of Online Poker, and World Championship of Online Poker Main Event seat packages, with a combined value of more than $33,000 which will be awarded to the player topping the overall 2013 WCOOP Leader Board.
Further incentive prizes are available to players who finish in 2 – 10 leaderboard positions, and to women players through the Women of the Series award.
Once again the schedule contains something for everyone in its wide presentation of different game styles, buy-ins and event formats, and the championship will be supported by low buy-in satellite tourneys awarding players packages that will enable them to compete in WCOOP events.
