Ultimate Gaming, parent company of Nevada’s first legal online poker site Ultimate Poker.com, is leveraging its other assets to promote the online poker enterprise.
The company is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its popular Ultimate Fighting Championship business, involving its new online poker enterprise to the benefit of both operations.
The company plans a Hall of Fame Poker Game featuring top UFC stars like Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, Matt Hughes, Royce Gracie and Bruce Buffer, coached by Ultimate Poker professional players Jason Somerville, William Reynolds, Brent Hanks, Phil Collins, Lauren Kling, Dan O’Brien and Jeremy Ausmus.
The event will be staged at the Red Rock Casino Resort’s Race and Sports Book from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Vegas time on Friday, November 15.
“Anytime you put UFC fighters at the table, there’s going to be some heavy competition to win. It’s in our nature,” Liddell said in a statement. “The Hall of Fame Poker Game is a great addition to the UFC’s 20th anniversary celebration. Poker is a great game of skill, just like the UFC.”
The plans include provision for an online poker player to join the table through freeroll satellite qualifiers taking place online on Sunday, November 10 at 5 p.m.
Residents and tourists in Nevada can sign up for a free Ultimate Poker account for the chance to play in the freeroll and win.
