Viktor “Isildur1” Blom may have had a slow start to 2014, dropping over half a million dollars, but he’s now making up for lost time and enjoying a great run on Full Tilt Poker’s high stakes virtual tables.
The High Stakes Data Base reports that Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene is at the head of the current year’s winner’s leaderboard on $610,908 in 1,765 hands over 27 sessions, lifting him to $1.36 million in profit for the year.
On the current weekly ratings, however, it is Blom who is again riding high, winning $813,000 last-but-one week ago, and this week again taking the lead with $794,717 in 15,250 hands over 98 sessions.
Gus Hansen had another awful week, dropping $463,742 in 1,799 hands over 23 sessions and adding another splodge of red ink to books that are reflecting career losses of well over $16 million so far.
However, he wasn’t the worst loser in the current week; that dubious accolade goes to Kyle “KPR16” Ray ( down $753,937), Alex “IReadYrSoul” Millar ( down $659,520) and “SallyWoo” (down $457,439).
Other players who have enjoyed a profitable week on the internet nosebleeds include Doug “WCGRider” Polk (up $665,786), Isaac “luvtheWNBA” Haxton (up $503,606) on Full Tilt Poker, and – across at the Pokerstars high stakes tables – Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies (up $303,066.)
