The World Series of Poker (WSOP) BIG ONE for ONE DROP $1,000,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em charity poker tournament has ten new player commitments, leaving just twenty-three seats remaining.
ESPN has committed to producing multi-day coverage from the second installment of the charity tournament due to be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino comprising three weeks of prime time coverage.
Nine of the ten new players are first-time entrants and include the first female Vanessa Selbst, Survivor contestant Jean-Robert Bellande aka ‘BrokeLivingJRB’, Maryland poker pro Anthony Gregg, German poker pro’s Fabian Quoss, Max Altergott, Christoph Vogelsang, Niklas Heinecker and Tobias Reinkemeier, Russian poker pro Igor Kurganov and an anonymous Asian businessman.
“I’m so excited to be taking part in The BIG ONE for ONE DROP this year,” said Selbst. “I didn’t get to play in 2012, but after seeing how much fun everyone had with the event as well as how profound an impact it had on ONE DROP, I knew I had to be a part of it this time around.”
The first prize in The BIG ONE for ONE DROP, which will take place over three days, from June 29 to July 1, 2014, has the potential to reach in excess of $20 000 000 if all fifty-six available seats are filled. $111,111 of each $1,000,000 buy-in will be taken out as a charitable donation to ONE DROP.
