The 5th annual Punta Cana Poker Classic (PCPC) kicks off Tuesday November 3rd, 2014 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
This year’s Main Event is a $1,500+$150 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Also scheduled are a Second Chance, Open Face Chinese tournament and a $3,000 buy-in High Roller Event.
“This is by far our most popular tournament of the year,” Latin Poker Series president Diego Chan said this week.
The 2014 PCPC runs over six days and features a total of 16 individual events with buy-ins ranging from $220 to $3,000. Last year Mexican player Guillermo Acuña claimed the Main Event title outlasting over 490 players who played in the event taking home the first place prize of $171,100.
This year’s registrations have already soared thanks to an increase in the number of satellite packages from partner sites like Americas Cardroom.eu and Yapoker.com, according to Chan.
