With the unblushing boastful verve the industry has come to associate with him, and plenty of marketing hype, Bryan Micon launched SwCPoker.eu over the weekend, his promised successor to the now defunct Seals With Clubs.com Bitcoin denominated online poker site.
Our readers will recall that Micon went his own way after a series of events that included a search warrant-backed visit to his Nevada home from Gaming Control Board officials and concerns from his management partners that all was not well; he retreated to Antigua with version 2 of the software, and promised that he would soon be up and running independently (see previous reports.)
Early visitors to the site have opined that it is a definite improvement over the original, with a better player interface, improved presentation and a wider selection of poker games that now includes Dealer’s Choice, Badacey and Badeucy, OPC, Pineapple and 12 Game.
Micon’s talent for hype was much in evidence in the launch statement, which boasted:
“What a brilliant few days for Bitcoin poker. The successful launch of SwC Poker has been met with worldwide cheer. New games and features are online, such as OFC pineapple, badeucey, badacey, 12 game, dealer’s choice, and many more, available in Cash, SnG, or MTT format. OFC/p MTTs have quickly become a crowd favorite. Look for cash game stakes to slowly increase as confidence in the new system builds.
“Thanks for the outpouring of support for SwC. We are happy to be back and serving the btc poker public.”
SwC Poker.eu offers no information on licensing (suggesting that it probably isn’t) and welcomes players from around the globe – including the United States – to its Bitcoin-denominated deposit screen.
It’s still a small operation, with around 140-150 players active on around 20 tables.
