It’s early days yet, but Full Tilt’s recent and radical changes intended to attract more recreational players (see previous reports) have so far seen a negative reaction in terms of cash game traffic, which dipped an alarming 20 percent from a seven day daily average of 1,000 players to 800, according to independent monitor Pokerscout.
Full Tilt has yet to comment on the decline and whether it was expected as professional players who prey on amateurs show their disapproval by moving elsewhere.
Putting a more hopeful light on the future possibilities, it has been pointed out that Unibet’s similar measures have resulted in a 12 percent increase in revenue to GBP 1.9 million, despite a generally struggling online poker market.
