Popular poker streamer Jason Somerville and his successful Las Vegas-based Run It Up Studios project in partnership with PokerStars is taking another step forward in building the Twitch community and helping other streamers to improve the quality and content of their products.
Run It Up Studios and PokerStars plan to develop new and existing poker broadcasters and content on Twitch.tv and to grow the Twitch Poker category by appealing to both existing and new Twitch users, raising the profile of the game of poker globally.
The partnership has built a new Las Vegas facility which includes full Twitch production facilities, and is already active in presenting a full range of PokerStars streams alongside Somerville products.
The partnership views the project as a facility that can provide services across a broad range of streaming requirements that includes content development, merchandising, graphics, production, administration, editing, monitoring and IT related needs.
“Jason is a pioneer, innovator and human content engine – which is why he’s so successful on Twitch,” said Eric Hollreiser, corporate communications chief at The Stars Group. “Twitch Poker is an exciting new platform for poker innovation and community-building. We’re eager to build upon our partnership with Jason and to mine the vast PokerStars library of content, promote poker streamers and create exclusive promotions and original content for Run It Up.”
