PartyPoker software revamp probably not revolutionary.

By RP, August 28, 2013

Although Party Poker is still in the throes of swatting technical bugs in a private beta testing phase on its much-hyped new poker software, some information was leaked over the weekend, prompting experts who studied the scanty snippets to comment that the big event may not necessarily be as revolutionary as has been suggested in some quarters.

The pundits noted that the upgrade appears to put more emphasis on the social gaming side through mission and achievement levels, and encourages the recreational player rather than the sharks…following an increasingly strong industry trend.

There is a new lobby that gets players to the tables faster, and there have been presentation tweaks that include new colours and graphics…the consensus appears to be that this is an evolutionary rather than revolutionary revamp.

The target date for the launch was last set at August, but with the month rapidly approaching its end, and the beta test apparently still in full swing, it looks likely that the public launch of the new software will have to be pushed out a little further.
