It’s been a long, two year wait for US Full Tilt Poker players left stranded by the Black Friday closures in 2011, but it appears that the US Department of Justice commissioned Garden City Group has finally come to grips with the complexities of the massive pay-out and is ready to go.
The independent administrator has advised that the process will begin on Monday September 16, when owed players can submit a Petition for Remission. Instructions are available at the Full Tilt Poker Claims.com website.
The company advises that remission claims will be accepted for a two month period, presumably giving it sufficient time to verify claims and organise payouts.
Non-US players at FTP were paid out some time ago by Pokerstars following its acquisition of FTP in a DoJ-approved buy-out that ran to hundreds of millions of dollars, and the payment of owed non-US players was part of the agreement.
