Sweden’s mercurial high stakes poker ace Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom suffered another big overall defeat on the Full Tilt Poker high stakes virtual tables last week. Despite playing 7,283 hands over 176 sessions he finished the week’s biggest loser, dropping another $557,556, according to the High Stakes Data Base.

In the week previous, Blom dropped $1.36 million, further eroding the $5 million credit balance he has managed to build since the start of the year.

A number of high profile – and usually successful – players joined Blom on this week’s losers’ list, including Sebastien “Seb86” Sabic ( down $509,092); “SallyWoo” (down $453,581); Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky (down $334,246) and Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond (down $298,044).

The other, and more positive, side of the coin featured winners like German pro Niklas “ragen70” Heinecker who took home $631,566 from 4,170 hands over 25 sessions, along with perhaps lesser known nosebleed players like “punting-peddler” (up $464,218), Harry “Schoitl” Cassagrande (up $441,485).

Phil “Polarizing” Ivey recorded a profit of $359,248 in 83 sessions/3,880 hands over the week, which will help with his legal expenses as he continues his litigation against Genting UK casino Crockfords over winnings of GBP 7.8 million that he has been denied on claims of cheating, an allegation he has vigorously rejected as the parties slug it out in London’s High Court.
