PokerStars has announced the return of its High Rollers Series with improved guarantees of $10 million across 27 events, which are scheduled to run from March 18 to 26.
The series will host a mixture of Hold’em and Omaha events, and the minimum buy-in has been dropped from $1,050 to $530, according to the company blog. A range of buy-ins all the way up to $10,300 is offered, making it possible for more players to enter.
Last year, the series hosted 22 events, most of which seeing buy-ins well over the guarantees. The main event winner was ‘Sanderssi’ from Finland who took home $294,658.23 after beating a player pool of 1,134 entrants (833 entries and 302 re-entries).
This year, the Main Event will again feature a $2 million guarantee, along with two other tournaments in the series:
* March 20 at 14:00 ET – $10,300 High Rollers #07 event with $1 million guaranteed
* March 22 at 14:00 ET – $10,300 High Rollers #13 event with $1 million guaranteed
* March 25 at 13:00 ET – $2,100 Main Event #22 event with $2 million guaranteed
Satellites will be running at PokerStars throughout this week, as well as special High Rollers Spin & Go satellites which are awarding seats to the $2 million Main Event for $25. Spin & Go players can also win tickets to a number of satellites running up to the series, as well as cash prizes.
