Next week’s Nevada Gaming Commission meeting will examine a recommendation from the Nevada Gaming Control Board that a second six-month extension be granted to three companies that have been approved to offer online poker services in Nevada.
Last week’s session of the Board agreed to recommend the extensions for the second time for the three companies (see previous reports), which are all preparing to launch Nevada intrastate online poker websites.
Boyd Interactive and MGM Online, which have a partnership with European online gambling company Bwin.Party are apparently still not in a position to launch, along with Golden Nugget, which is working with Bally Technologies.
A fourth applicant, Z4 Poker, has signed a deal with the Reno-based Grand Sienna Casino to help it fulfil its online poker plans.
