International online poker provider Pokerstars has released details for the tenth edition of its popular Micromillions, which will be held online between March 19 – 29 this year and consist of 100 events carrying $5 million dollars in guaranteed prize pools.
Buy-ins for the events range from $0.11 to $22 for the No Limit Hold’em Main Event, which takes place on March 29 and carries a million dollar guarantee.
The company has already announced a series of supporting satellite competitions where players can win seats for low buy-ins. Sunday Million-based prizes will also be available for players making the Micromillions leaderboard.
Keeping to its winning formula, the tenth Micromillions will offer a range of tournament formats that includes Hyper-Active, Bubble Dash, Zoom Turbo, Progressive Super-Knockout, Ante Up and Big Antes.
Pokerstars boasts some impressive numbers for the Micromillions series, claiming that over the past nine outings the competition has attracted over 12 million player entries, and that it has paid out almost $75 million in prize monies.
The biggest single win in monetary terms was achieved by a Hungarian online player in the Micromillions 5 main event, who took home $160,000.
