Guy Laliberté’s upcoming water charity poker tournament Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza has attracted thirty-five commitments, organisers said Monday.
The Euro 1,000,000 buy-in charity tournament is scheduled to take place at the Casino de Monte-Carlo, Monaco from October 14, 2016.
Euro 111,111 from each buy-in goes to One Drop and Euro 888,889 goes directly into the prize pool. As it stands, a minimum Euro 31,111,115 prize pool will be up for grabs along with a platinum ceremonial bracelet hand-crafted by renowned jeweller Richard Mille.
The full list of tournament structures and the official tournament schedule have been re-released with Laliberté reminding poker players that there are seven other tournaments and cash games, including a one million euro cash game, that will be played during the week of 13 – 17 October, 2016.
“The Monte Carlo One Drop Extravaganza is fast approaching and with 35 recreational players already confirmed to play, and many re-entries predicted, the Big One is in real good shape,” Laliberté, founder of One Drop, said”.
