Swedish high stakes online poker ace Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom was in action at Pokerstars again this week, recovering from a loss the week before by earning profits of $900,000 in just four days, according to the publication High Stakes Data Base.
Despite starting the year on a low note, the famously aggressive player and risk-taker currently heads the Pokerstars 2015 high stakes leaderboard with profits of $3.2 million, although he has enjoyed less success at Full Tilt, which has now shuttered its high stakes tables.
Blom’s main benefactors in the latest clashes included Seb “taktloss” Ruthenberg and player “Cumicon”, whose contributions to Blom’s coffers position him well ahead of the next two names on the 2015 Pokerstars leaderboard, “bbvisbadforme” with profits of $965,770 and arch rival Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky on $743,015.
One of the biggest losers over the period was Phil “Raise Once” Ivey, who lost half-a-million dollars and is now down 1.2 million this year..
