It’s been a good Las Vegas weekend for poker pro Fedor Holz, who earned $31,611 for a 30th placing cash in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic at Bellagio, and went on to score another $1,589,219, along with a Hublot watch, and an Aurae solid gold Matercard preloaded with $10,000 in the $100,000 buy-in WPT Alpha8 Las Vegas competition.
44 entrants registered for the event, which delivered a final table populated by Holz as chip leader and seriously talented players like Nick Petrangelo, Daniel Negreanu, Sean Winter, Ankush Mandavia, Kathy Lehne and Keith Tilston.
When Petrangelo busted Negreanu at third for $640,103 the scene was set for a heads up between Petrangelo and Holz, with the latter holding an almost 3 to 1 chip advantage that enabled him to clinch the game after 23 hands and send Petrangelo home with a still impressive second placing pay day of $1,015,335.
Other final table cashes were:
Sean Winter $441,450
Ankush Mandavia $309,015
Kathy Lehne $242,798
Keith Tilston $176,580
