The High Stakes Data Base reports that Swedish poker pro Viktor “Isildur1” Blom hit the high spots on the virtual nosebleed tables Thursday, cleaning up to the tune of a million dollars in just a day’s action on the $1,000-$2,000 limit Omaha eight-or-better online tables.
It was a stunning upward surge after a week in which the young professional, arguably one of the most exciting players in terms of sheer daring and roller-coaster results, had just broken even on both Pokerstars and Full Tilt.
Playing against some of the toughest high stakes Internet professionals, Blom was able to more than recoup his losses and soar to a million dollars by the end of the day’s sessions.
Other big winners over the past week were not even close in terms of their rewards; Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene was up $127,000; Cort “thecortster” Kibler-Melby banked $74,000 and Alex “joiso” Kostritsyn prospered to the tune of$43,000.
High Stakes Data Base reports that the week’s biggest losers included Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, who dropped $297,000; Jason Mercier wrote off $89,000 and Daniel “KidPoker” Negreanu lost $40,000.
