UK poker pro Louis Salter emerged the victor in the Euro 2,200 buy-in Eureka Prague High Roller event over the weekend, claiming a much diluted main prize of Euro 124,560 after a seven-way chop.
His achievement was enhanced by the 620 entry field and the quality of the final table, which included Dan Shak, Eugene Katchalov, Ben Pollak, Ari Engel, Owain Carey, Dmitry Ivanov and Michael Aron.
Aron’s departure in eighth saw play pause whilst the remaining seven players worked out a deal based on the independent chip model. Once settled, play resumed vigorously until the heads up stage saw Salter facing and besting veteran player Dan Shak.
Final table pay-outs were:
Louis Salter Euro 124,560
Dan Shak Euro 103,530
Eugene Katchalov Euro 99,555
Ben Pollak Euro 76,000
Ari Engel Euro 93,785
Owain Carey Euro 102,400
Dmitry Ivanov Euro 104,700
Michael Aron Euro 25,940
