Rozvadov in the Czech Republic, and specifically the Kings Casino, was the focus over the weekend as the World Series of Poker Circuit Euro 25,000 buy-in Super High Roller concluded in victory – and a Euro 256,025 payday – for Croatian poker pro Stipo Vladic.
Entries and re-entries totalled just 22 in this competition, but with the big buy-in generating a large main prize, it proved to be a magnet for the professionals, although just three of them were scheduled to cash.
The highly competitive final table took 14 gruelling hours to deliver a winner when Vladic eliminated high-stakes Czech professional Martin Kabrhel, sending him to the exit to collect the runner-up prize of Euro 153,615.
It was a disappointing finish for the Czech player, who had started the two-and-half-hour heads up with a substantial chip lead.
Third-placed Pierre Mothes from Germany took home Euro 102,410.
Other final table players included Patrik Antonius, Aleksandar Tomovic, Hans Olymp and Philipp Zukernik.
