Then often controversial American poker pro Dutch Boyd claimed his third World Series of Poker bracelet Tuesday after winning the first prize of $288,744 in event 33, a NLHE competition that attracted 1,688 entries, creating a $1,519,200 prize pool.
After three days of eliminations the final table took just 154 hands to complete and saw Boyd emerging as the chip leader against Steven Norden in the heads up stage, which evolved just after the dinner break.
The finale lasted just 17 hands, with Norden walking as the runner up and recipient of the second placing prize of $178,490.
