In an effort to more effectively challenge French market leaders Pokerstars.fr and Winamax, the Everest Poker group has revealed that it is to launch Everest Poker Live, an affordable series of seven live poker tournaments.
Six of these will take place across France, with one held in Morocco this year.
The series will have a common format of a Euro 300 buy-in Deepstack Main Event designed to appeal to the recreational player. Other events will include a Euro 1,000 buy-in High Roller and two Euro 115 buy-in side events, along with cash games and special Euro 35 buy-in live Twister sit-and-gos.
The first of these tournaments is scheduled for early February in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, and all of the stops have been planned to coincide with weekends.
