The Betclic Everest group has announced its intention to shut down the Everest Poker brand, a long-running online poker industry enterprise that has seen tough times in the French market.
The operator plans to migrate French Everest players to its Betclic.fr alternative online poker offering around April 28, and that will be followed at the end of May with the closure of the Everest site and discontinuation of the band.
Posting on Facebook this week, Betclic Everest CEO Isabella Andres commented that it was illogical to maintain two poker operations in the French market.
“We keep all our ambition and are confident that our poker customers will benefit from a quality poker offering and enhanced experience on Betclic, with access to sports betting and horse racing betting,” she wrote.
