Finnish online poker ace Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius continued his winning streak this week on the Full Tilt Poker nosebleed tables, scoring another six-figure win according to the High Stakes Data Base.
Taking home $718,952 in 891 hands over five sessions, the fighting Finn topped his $614,207 profits from the previous week playing with skill and aggression against tough opponents.
Unfortunately for Antonius, his streak didn’t extend to live poker, and he was bundled out of the $100,000 buy-in Pokerstars Monte Carlo EPT High Roller.
Fellow Nordic star Gus “The Great Dane” Hansen experienced a welcome reversal of his recent string of misfortunes that has plunged him $17 million in the red, when he ended the week up $275,807 in 3,664 hands…but like Antonius, he didn’t make the money in Monte Carlo either.
Other major high stakes online winners this week included Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, who was up $234,151; “Carlooo13” who enjoyed a $185,374 profit; and Alex “IReadYrSoul” Millar up $173,303.
This weeks’ big losers were headed by Viktor “Isildur1” Blom who lost $426,441 over 5,495 hands. He took a beating that was far worse than “Trueteller” down $344,865; “MalACEsia” who lost $299,748; Phil Ivey who was out $243,885; and previous weeks’ high-rider Niki Jedlika who lost $238,052 this week.
