It took just four hours of final table play to decide the Euro 550 buy-in Colossus NLHE event at this year’s World Series of Poker Europe, currently taking place at Kings Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
Israeli player Tamir Segal emerged the winner after besting a field of 2,991 and a final table of nine talented opponents to claim the Euro 203,820 main prize from a pool worth Euro 1,435,412, comfortably over the guarantee.
It was Segal’s biggest career win yet, and his first WSOP gold bracelet.
When Belgium’s Aksel Ayguen busted at third for Euro 92,385 Segal faced Wojciech Wyrebski of Poland in the heads up. It was a brief affair with the duo trading chips to and fro for around twenty minutes before Segal hit his stride and eliminated the Pole for a second place reward of Euro 125,966.
Other final table cashes included:
Dariusz Glinski Euro 68,331
Hannes Neurauter Euro 51,854
Francesco Delfoco Euro 38,349
Flavio Decataldo Euro 29,104
Krasimir Yankov Euro 22,281
Bjorn Bouwmans Euro 17,209
