The past weekend saw a memorable World Poker Tour achievement for French poker pro Laurent Polito, who won his fourth WPT main event in the last two years – and Euro 56,500 – playing at the Grand Casino Brussels in the Euro 700 buy-in WPTN main event, bringing his live tourney career earnings to $1.3 million.
Polito bested a field of 437, many of them top European players, to secure his latest victory, capping a tourney run which began in 2013 with a WPTN tournament main event in Paris and boosted his bank balance by Euro 74,500.
That was followed in May 2014 by another WPTN main event win against 391 entrants in Cannes, which added another Euro 86,000 to his haul, and that led to a late-2014 victory back in Paris at a WPTN main event that rewarded him with Euro 140,000.
