French victory in European Poker Tour Vienna High Roller.

The Euro 10,300 buy-in European Poker Tour Vienna High Roller event was always going to be a hard-fought competition, given the large representation of internationally respected players who entered and re-upped to create a final 181 entries and a prize pool of Euro 1,773,800 – the largest high roller of this EPT season.

Cashes would extend to just 27 players, which ensured some aggressive and intense action at the tables.

The final table was reached with the departure of ninth-placed former WSOP main event champ Jonathan Duhamel, and looked like this: Fabrice Soulier, Anatoly Filatov, Oleh Okhotskyi, Vitaly Lunkin, Dmitry Yurasov, Rasmus Agerskov, Benny Spindler and Fady Kamar.

The exit in third place of Ukrainian Oleh Okhotskyi for Euro 182,500 set the scene for the heads up between Filatov and Soulier, with the latter holding a 2-1 chip lead.

Starting well, Filatov managed to get ahead in chips, but the French ace staged a big comeback and then hammered away at his Russian opponent’s stack until he defeated him at level 26.

Final table pay-outs were as follows:

Fabrice Soulier Euro 392,900
Anatoly Filatov Euro 265,200
Oleh Okhotskyi Euro 182,500
Vitaly Lunkin Euro 148,800
Dmitry Yurasov Euro 118,650
Rasmus Agerskov Euro 91,150
Benny Spindler Euro 66,350
Fady Kamar Euro 48,050
Jonathan Duhamel Euro 39,800
