The young Scots poker ace David ‘sluggy27’ Vamplew cut a swathe through the 2,328 other hopefuls in an online tournament this week when he won the Full Tilt Online Poker Series NLHE, $320 buy-in event 20, claiming the main prize of $111,768.
In the closing stages of the game survivors Vamplew, ‘Mikeler’ and ‘I Follow Rivers’ agreed a three-way chop before the action resumed and Vamplew took the honours.
2013 has been good for the former EPT champion; earlier this year, Vamplew finished second in two mega-entry list World Series of Poker events for a combined bank boosting reward of $755,607. He also managed a fourth finish in the Edinburgh leg of the UKIPT.
