It’s taking a little longer than expected, but Hero Poker could be firmly on the comeback trail, commencing open beta testing on its new Microgaming-powered client this week under Philippines licensing.
The site is currently restricted to real-money action in Philippines currency only, but that will presumably be expanded as the enterprise moves toward full online action.
There are apparently ambitious plans for major tournaments and a VIP program in train once the online poker site is fully operational.
The available information thus far is that Hero will operate as a standalone, and will not be part of the MPN despite its Microgaming software.
