World Poker Tour (WPT) inked a 5-year contract with FOX Sports this week for the broadcast of the WPT through Season XIX.
In addition, each season, WPT will produce and air an additional 13 hours of original programming, FOX Sports Regional Networks will air at least two World Poker Tour marathons and WPT broadcasts will be available for live streaming on FOX Sports GO.
WPT broadcasts on FOX Sports have reached over 215 million viewers since 2009, the company said, with almost half of those recruited in just the last two seasons.
“This unprecedented, five-year deal with FOX Sports elevates WPT into an elite and exclusive group of shows that have aired on television for nineteen seasons,” said Adam Pliska, president and chief executive officer of the WPT.
