Hong Kong-based IT, travel and internet entrepreneur Elton Tsang (35) won the Big One for One Drop poker charity event in Monte Carlo Sunday evening after a tough 8.5 hour final table against some seriously talented opposition, claiming the special WSOP bracelet designed for the event and the Euro 11,111,111 main prize.
Sunday was the third day of the event and after seizing the final table chip lead early on from Andrew Pantling Tsang really never looked back, dominating the game as he maintained and added to his chip lead.
The heads up against Russian player Anatoly Gurtovoy lasted longer at 90 minutes than Tsang’s lead would suggest, but the result was inevitable and he finally sent the Russian to the exit to collect the runner up prize worth Euro 5,427,781.
The event generated a prize pool of Euro 24,888,892, with Euro 3,111,108 going to the water charity One Drop.
Other final table cashes were:
Rick Salomon United States Euro 3 million
James Bord United Kingdom Euro 2,1 million
Cary Katz United States Euro 1,75 million
Andrew Pantling Canada Euro 1,5 million.
