Reports carried by some poker information sites for the past week that GTech’s International Poker Network is to make changes confining itself to operations in nationally regulated markets are still being met with uncommunicative responses from the company.
The reports quote an unnamed source allegedly close to the management arrangements involved who has claimed that the change in strategy is to be in place by the second quarter of 2014.
However, GTech Spielo has yet to confirm or deny the changes, which could impact brands such as Redbet, Poker Heaven, Virgin Games Poker and PokerKings.
One information site – Pokerfuse – points out that four of the five poker networks run by GTech are already in nationally regulated markets: Canadian Poker Network, Poker Club Italia, Spain Poker Network and Svenska Spel in Sweden.
