Online poker provider Pokerstars celebrates a decade of Isle of Man residence next week with a major on-island poker tournament and a free-to-view 3D projection and lighting spectacular at 8pm on Wednesday.
The tournament will be hosted at the Villa Marina in Douglas and consists of 13 events with the main focus on the GBP 440 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em main event, which starts next Thursday.
This year’s tournament will attract poker players across Europe and further afield, as well as well-known members of Team PokerStars Pros and many local players. For the second year running, the festival will overlap with the Isle of Man International Chess Tournament, demonstrating the synergies of the two mind sports, a Pokerstars statement claims.
This is the third time PokerStars has brought the live poker festival and hundreds of players to the island’s capital, Douglas.
The light show in the Villa Marina gardens will last for five minutes and will be repeated each night of the five-day festival.
