Argentinean Mario Lopez has bested a field of 609 to take down the Seventh Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) main event at the Enjoy Viña del Mar Casino in Chile.
The win marks Argentina’s seventh LAPT title previously won by South American players such as Jose Barbero, Leo Fernandez and Pablo Tivitian.
Following a 90-minute heads up match against Chilean Rodrigo Perez, Lopez took the title and $117,991 in prize money following a four-hand deal that was split Perez $120,000, Resk $95,000, Lopez $95,000, and Melo $90,000. The winner earned an extra $22,991 that was set aside.
