Las Vegas poker pro Stephen Graner (26) has dominated the last days and a talented final table to win the Euro 5,300 buy-in European Poker Tour Prague main event and claim a first prize worth Euro 969 000…his biggest career win yet.
The event generated a new EPT record for prize pools at Euro 5,368,950
Entering the final day with a massive chip lead, Graner took five hours to best an international final table that comprised Anton Bertilsson and Simon Mattson of Sweden; Jonathan Wong from Britain; Germany’s Bjorn Wiesler and Fabio Sperling; Remi Castaignon from France and Greek player Miltiadis Kyriakides.
They were all that remained from a large field that had included formidable international players like Liv Boeree, Vanessa Selbst, George Danzer, Eugene Katchalov, Isaac Haxton and Mickey Petersen, all of whom cashed but failed to make the final table
The Graner vs. Beretilsson heads up was set when Londoner Jonathan Wong bowed out in third place for Euro 410,190, but it did not take Graner long to leverage his large stack into a victory, sending Bertilsson home with a Euro 582 720 runner up check.
