888Poker clearly found its sponsorship last year of the Poker Central Super High Roller Bowl valuable, because it has signed up again as the presenting sponsor for the third edition of the competition, scheduled to run between May 28-31 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
The timing places the tournament just ahead of the 2017 World Series of Poker, making travel planning by international professionals that much easier.
This year’s $300,000 buy-in freezeout Super High Roller Bowl is the biggest yet and will again attract a global audience of poker fans, Poker Central claims. Entries were originally capped at 35 players, but that has since been expanded to 56 entrants following significant player demand.
Among the big names that have already registered are Doug Polk, Fedor Holz, Bryn Kenney, Erik Seidel, David Peters, Brian Rast and Rainer Kempe. The latter player won the tournament last year, claiming the top prize of $5 million (see previous InfoPowa report).
In a Poker Central press statement this week, Itai Pazner from 888Poker said:
“Poker Central’s productions offer high-level poker action with world-class poker players. The Super High Roller Bowl is an extremely prestigious event which is followed by a wide and varied audience of poker fans around the world. We are thrilled to be renewing our ongoing partnership with Poker Central and look forward to what will no doubt be an epic event.”
Pazner added that his company’s sponsorship agreement also involves additional and yet to be disclosed Poker Central events.
