Rising interest in legalised New Jersey online poker has seen tens of thousands of New Jersey poker fans attracted to a millionaire online tournament organised by Party Poker.com and Borgata Poker.com and set to climax in a live eight-player final table at the Borgata this week, according to press material from the organisers.
The eight who will fight it out for the one million dollar main prize are:
* Steven Edwards (ChipsJammed) of Atco
* Myroslaw Woroch (onetime99) of Cedar Knolls
* Sunil Sebastian (thepokerdoc) of Clifton
* Anthony Marchiatilli (skappy) of Belleville
* Eric Natishvili (silentgeorgian) of West New York
* Andy Lam (clearcuttension) of Aberdeen
* Shin Han (WEVIL) of Wayne
* Wayne Pineault (grokker) of Wayne
Final table play will start Saturday, February 1st at 3pm at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa and the event will be televised for a future television broadcast.
Poker Hall of Famer and WPT host Mike Sexton, along with Team Party Poker member Scott Baumstein, will be on hand for the play by play of every hand.
“I’ve been the last man standing twice at Borgata and there’s no feeling quite like it,” said Team Party Poker’s Bobby Oboodi, who is New Jersey’s original poker millionaire after winning two of the biggest events in the state.
“One of the final eight will feel that same feeling once they are crowned New Jersey’s Next Poker Millionaire.”
The $1 million first prize is a dream poker package that includes:
* More than $850,000
* WPT Alpha 8 super high roller seat ($100,000),
* WPT World Championship seat ($15,400),
