Get Lucky Poker, a new online poker site founded by respected professional poker player Michael Mizrachi (see previous reports) has soft launched, but it may be a tricky time for such an enterprise – a recent $5.2 million hack on Bitcoin exchange Bitstamp has sent the virtual currency’s value spiralling downwards.
Then there’s the resistance from traditional banks and authorities; growing competition in this Bitcoin niche market with a growing number of operators accepting virtual currencies, and at least another three such sites due to launch in the next few months
Mizrachi’s new site is currently in beta test mode, according to recent tweets, with a hard launch date to be advised. The site is offering a number of promotional incentives to attract players, including sign up bonuses, Bad Beat promos and loyalty rewards.
The website proclaims:
“Everyone involved at Get Lucky Poker is an avid poker player and we care about the integrity of the game. For that reason we deliver top-notch customer service, support, and software. We will constantly be innovating to provide the most bug-free, safe, and legal environment possible.”
