Amaya Inc.’s PokerStars brand have launched a free-to-play poker game titled “Jackpot Poker” across Facebook, iOS and Android platforms.
The game features three-handed, “winner-takes-all” poker tournaments in a new format that is made specifically for mobile devices and aimed at casual gamers, the company said.
Jackpot Poker features PokerStars’ Spin & Go tournaments with a jackpot element that determines the final prize pool after the players take their seats and before the first card is dealt.
Players are guaranteed their minimum prize pool, but the spin of the wheel can multiply that prize up to 3,000 times the original value.
“Mobile gamers are going to love the fast-paced poker action that they can only get on the Jackpot Poker app,” commented Lloyd Melnick, director of social gaming at PokerStars. “By bringing Spin & Go jackpot tournaments to mobile devices, PokerStars has captured the most exciting innovation in poker in recent years and made it available to everyone with an iOS or Android smartphone.”
In addition, the online poker giant has reworked its full-ring progressive jackpot tournaments under a new Bounty Builders offer.
Bounty Builders is a new daily tournament with a 9-handed progressive knockout format and guaranteed prize pools.
As well as the attraction of bonuses and cash prizes, many of the tournaments award tickets to the “Battle Royale” each Wednesday, where the regular $109 tournament guarantee of $40,000 gets a boost to $150,000.
