UK poker fans will soon have another major tournament in which to compete following a partnership deal signed by Party Poker and the Nottingham-based poker room Dusk Til Dawn. And the million dollar event can be entered for only $120.
The tournament – titled the Grand Prix Million – is the latest development in the ongoing promotional partnership between Rob Yong’s Dusk Til Dawn and the online poker room, and it will run between May 15-25, 2015 on the DTD premises in Nottingham, England.
To cater for the large numbers of entries that are anticipated, there will be 9 entry flights, which players will be able to enter on as many days as they wish, taking the biggest chip stack they achieve into Day 2 of the competition.
Yong has introduced an innovative feature called the Golden Chip, which will reward the first 1,000 registrations with a single Golden Chip each. If a Golden Chip holder makes it to the final table, he or she will be invited to cash the chip in for an additional $25,000 in prize money.
The last Grand Prix pulled in almost 5,000 poker fans, and the registration list for this one is expected to be significantly larger; online satellite competitions for economical but-in packages have already commenced.
