Canadian software developer Mojo Games is powering a new online poker website – Mercury Poker – for Mercury Gaming Solutions, a subsidiary of Essel Group.
Mercury Poker is the second site rolled out by Mercury Gaming Solutions and is to join the Indian Poker Network; it is the product of a 50-50 joint venture involving Mojo and Mercury Gaming.
The Mercury Poker domain is owned by Pranav Bathija, who has close links to the son of Essel Group’s chairman.
Essel Group’s position is reportedly an interesting one; it has supported Pokernation.com, an online poker site operated by Playwin, a Pan India Network brand and member of the MPN.
Mojo provides the technology and backend for the IPN, and is already working on another new site, Baadshah Gaming, for Casino Pride, according to a statement released this week.
The Canadian supplier is making inroads into some interesting markets, and is currently working on a tournament solution for Alibaba’s subsidiary VLeague and Alisports in Asia.
