Poker industry reports indicate the closure of Ongame Network next month following a slow decline in active player counts which, according to PokerScout, currently average at 100 over a seven day period.
our readers will recall the numerous change of hands Ongame has undergone in the past four years, being sold by BWIN to Amaya Inc. in October 2012 who two years later went on to sell the business to NYX Gaming Group.
NYX Gaming Group subsequently sold the business to an unidentified European “management group” in April 2016 retaining “a significant share” and exclusive rights to use the poker product across North America.
According to Russian poker affiliate website Pokeroff, Ongame has informed customers it will close its virtual doors on October 15, 2016.
