Italian market statistics for September 2015 from regulator AAMS make depressing reading from an online poker perspective, reporting that online tournament entries fell 19 percent to Euro 58.7 million, and net revenues declined by 17 percent y-o-y to Euro 5.3 million.
Ring game results were also down a depressing 27 percent y-o-y in wagering at Euro 242.2 million, although net revenues were marginally improved but were still down 20 percent at Euro 6.5 million.
The online casino and sports betting verticals, however, continued to deliver good returns, with online casino revenues up 37.3 percent y-o-y, and sportsbetting up 36.7 percent.
