Malcolm Graham’s replacement as CEO of online poker provider PKR has been announced as Neil Alexander, a senior management industry veteran who has previously worked for Sportingbet and Tipp24.
His appointment coincides with a decision by the Board to close PKR’s dedicated French site on the 22 July in order to focus on its other poker interests. Registration of new players will be discontinued next week prior to the shuttering.
In a statement PKR explained that operations in the French market are not viable, echoing views expressed by other companies concerned by the restrictive market and high taxation in France.
