Online poker training site to close.

Cardrunners, an online poker coaching site launched in 2005 by poker pro Taylor Caby, who was later joined by Andrew Wiggins and Alex Huang, has announced its effective shuttering in June this year.

In a communication to subscribing members, the trio advise that on June 1st Cardrunners will halt the production of paid video content and move some of its library to Youtube.

The Cardrunners website will remain online for “a few months” but then presumably shut down, and new training content will be periodically released through Youtube.

“We will be providing pro-rated refunds to members with long-term subscriptions and all ongoing monthly subscriptions will be canceled,” the advisory notes. “If you have any questions about your subscription please contact support@cardrunners.com.”

The communication goes on to reveal that Cardrunners will over the next few weeks begin releasing free coaching videos on Holdem Manager.com, focused on helping Hold’em Manager users better use Cardrunner statistics and software to improve their results.

The effective closure of Cardrunners follows that earlier this year of Phil Ivey’s Ivey League website.
