Part time poker player, Jason Baldridge, scored his second live tournament result when he won the $1,675 Main Event at Harrah’s New Orleansthis week, defeating a field of 758 entries to collect the season’s last gold ring, $227,412 and a seat in the WSOP Global Casino Championship.
The 34-year-old from San Antonio, Texas is primarily a cash game player but was inspired when traveling with Jose Anaya on the tournament circuit. As a live tournament amateur, Baldridge’s performance was impressive, he went into Day 3 of the main event as chip leader.
