GVC’s PartyPoker has announced a return to rakeback in its new loyalty program, due to take effect from May 22.
The new program will reward players with cash rakebacks on a sliding scale ranging from 20 to 40 percent, replacing the current four-tiered points-earning scheme that enabled players to convert points to cash or tournament tickets and bonuses via a Loyalty Store online.
The PartyPoker blog advises that once the new scheme is implemented players will no longer be able to convert points, and instead will earn one point per $1 contributed in cash game rake or tournament fees. Once they have earned 25 points in a week, PartyPoker will trigger cash back awards at a rate of 20 percent.
PartyPoker Ambassador Patrick Leonard said the new loyalty program constitutes a “huge” improvement for players and was based on player feedback.
PP managing director Tom Waters observed:
“I recognised that the existing loyalty store was complicated and confusing for some players and so we decided to replace the store with a simple and rewarding rakeback scheme that will deliver cashback into players accounts every week.
“The new scheme was designed in consultation with a large group of players and I hope that we have delivered a rakeback program that will suitably reward our loyal players.”
Players have until May 22 to spend their existing points balance before the old system is discontinued.
