GVC Holdings’ PartyPoker operation in New Jersey has announced the launch of a new product branded Sit & Go Hero, which uses a lottery-style format for S&G competitions.
A statement from PartyPoker this week explained that the company planned to put a new twist on the traditional S&G jackpot format in order to develop a unique new product with player appeal.
The result is a four-handed sit-and-go product with five different buy-in levels set at $1, $3, $5, $10, and $20, and claims that $50,000 bounties are plentiful and jackpot winnings can be as high as 10,000 times the buy-in.
The majority of the tournaments are winner-takes-all competitions where the winner takes home three-quarters of the available prize pool and the remaining quarter goes into the bounty chest.
However, where the multiplier reaches levels between 50 and 1,000 times the buy-in, the second and third players walk away with a share of the prize pool. And when the multiplier hits the 10,000 times level, second, third, and fourth placed players will each receive 15 percent of the prize pool.
