Barcelona continued to be the epicentre of international poker action this week with the conclusion of more competitions.
In the Estrellas Barcelona High Roller event Austrian online and live poker pro Stefan “mindgamer” Jedlicka bested a record field of 1,182 to claim the honours and a diluted main prize (following a two-way chop) of Euro 251,500.
Jedlicka and Brazilian pro Felipe Da Costa had dominated play in the event and it was not surprising that they ended up facing each other in the heads up, whereupon they paused to negotiate a chop, with Da Costs holding the most chips.
However it was Jedlicka who managed to emerge the victor, leaving Da Costs with a second placing but a larger share of the spoils at Euro 268,950.
Other final table cashes included:
Josip Simunic Austria Euro 177,960
Vladimir Geshkenbein Russia Euro 143,240
Jordan Kaplan USA Euro 115,900
Michael Cano Austria Euro 88,900
Stefan Huber Switzerland Euro 62,490
Oleg Titov Russia Euro 45,150
