Growing numbers of top international players have been confirming their presence at a major poker event next month in the Czech Republic – the Celebrity Cash Kings tournament scheduled for Kings Casino in Rozvadov between August 14 – 17.
The tourney is billed as a high stakes cash game festival, and will feature a number of tables, including one that will be streamed online. That should ensure a large internet audience, given the names that have signed up, and discussions are reportedly taking place on increasing the stakes on the table to add excitement.
The table is currently listed for NLHE action, but that could be changed to Pot Limit Omaha if the players’ agree.
And look who those players will be: German wunderkind Fedor Holz, who at the tender age of 22 has already amassed a poker fortune of almost $15 million and is enjoying a stellar year; the formidable online pro and coach Dan Cates; German high stakes expert Tobias Reinkemeier; top Welsh professional player and restauranteur Roberto Romanello; Dusk til Dawn entrepreneur Rob Yong; double WSOP bracelet holder Jesper Hougaard and Jan Peter Jachtmann, a tough high stakes Pot Limit Omaha star from Germany.
The Czech tournament is conveniently followed by the start of the European Poker Tour in Barcelona, making for convenient travel savings for US professionals in particular.
